Pieter Krop is specialised in enforcement issues and European labour migration. Pieter litigates with success for companies and private individuals that have been fined because of alleged violation of the Act on Employment of Foreigners. He also advises clients on compliance issues.
His clients are, amongst others, companies working in construction, hospitality services , small and medium enterprises and employment agencies. He also advises clients on cross border labor and all other aspects of labor immigration.

He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Amsterdam in 2014. The topic of his dissertation is the enforcement of illegal employment. He is a regular contributor for several academic magazines and teaches on labour migration at the University of Amsterdam. Pieter writes the comments on the Employer Sanctions Directive for the Sdu commentary on the Wet arbeid vreemdelingen (Alien Employment Act), and on the EU Blue Card Directive.
