Start-up visa: no longer MVV visa required
Foreign nationals who qualify for a start-up visa do no longer need an entry visa for long stay (MVV-visa) before they can collect their residence and work permit in the Netherlands to work as a start-up. This amendment has entered into force 1 October 2015. From the start of the start-up visa 1 January 2015 Kroes Immigration Lawyers has brought up on many occassions that this requirement is a serious obstacle for foreign entrepreneurs. The requirement for foreign entrepreneurs to collect the entry visa for long stay in their country of residence while they have been admited already to the program of the facilitator meant in practise that they had to travel back and forth only to collect this visa while the facilitator program has started. Taking away this hindrance is contributing to making this start-up visa more to a succes.
